Hello Everyone!
Just got a P3S last week! I was able to sucessfully update with much beeping and carrying on. No biggie, just put it in another room and shut the door until it shut up!
Weather has been a littl crappy but finally got it out for a longer flight yesterday afternoon. Everything seems to be functioning perfectly, what a blast to fly! Very easy to fly and the video and photos are excellent. Will need to practice alot to make smoother, low rate turns while videoing though. A couple of times watching the playback, I felt like I was on a freaking merry go round!
Anyway, very excited to be a part of the community!

Low rate turns are challenging.
At least the shaking fingers are taken care of by the excellent electronics.

I'll be joining in as soon as my Phantom 3 Standard is delivered.... Starting to lose patience.. It's been 5 hours since I ordered it!

try to lift it Altitude 250ft, when i reached 250ft (75meters) my Standard started blinking WEAK SIGNAL i was on parking lot ... no trees no buildings ...

Keep yourself occupied by reading all the manuals, tutorials and tips which REALLY prepares you well.

looks like you are directly over yourself.  did you have the antenna pointing outward and  not up and down?

That is exactly what I'm doing mate, but you know how it is.. Started wanting one last summer.mbut needed a new car. Just moved house. Then christmas. Etc etc.. .so even though it's rained here for the last few weeks almost non stop I just want it. Here. Now. In my sweaty little hands.

I'm pretty sure I am in the top percentage of people who don't have patience so I feel your pain.
When I got mine I decided I couldn't wait for it to be delivered so arranged to collect it directly.

I'm sure it's because you didn't have the antennas orientated correctly.

Thanks for your video, i will try it asap, antenna was 45 degrees as i remember and drone was over me ...

Yes make sure when drone is directly over to have the antenna straight out parallel to the ground to be able to send the signals upward.

Yes, and also try to fly out instead of straight above so high.

Are you saying you only got a distance of 101m? if so then there may be an issue with your P3S. I would suggest sending it in for repair.

You may want to call tech support and start an RMA if you are not getting the advertised range in an area with no interference. 818-235-0789

Maybe it's new firmwares problem ? or its our problem as we are beginners because there are people who have the same problem, signal lost, weak rc signal and etc ...

when I reachd 266 meters distance antenna was parallel to the land, it was in same position while I was trying to reach maximum altitude ...

The antenna is best used in a vertical manner when flying away at distance and horizontal when flying over head.   Im sure you already saw this and maybe have tried it I just saw where you said it was parallel to the land

No you can adjust the position of the antenna, the waves come off the antenna on the body of it not the top so pointing the tip at it will result in minimal signal.  try it with it the antenna vertical and you should see an increase, now how many buildings and tress around you may play a role also.

Feeling Fantastic after reaching 142.1 m (466.2 ft) )) without weak signal and etc ...
