Short video of some local surfers at Sawtell NSW Australia.... interesting flying low over the surf.... got sprayed 2 times...
conditions were good for flying... but the surf was inconsistent ...

Thanks Tim... i am getting more confident with flying over surf now... the challenge is to not look down but straight ahead ..., that puts the inspire below wave height ... hmmmmm... easy to blow it.... but if you want spectacular video thats were you got to be....

Thanks rodger... i had the stock dji filter... iso 100.... then ajusted the shutter speed to stop the white water from blowing out.... also had the colour on vivid...

ETA -- great video by the way, getting this close in big surf is on my list. . . as soon as I can afford and not care about losing a few grand

Really nice! The color, your in motion link-up with the surfers, is perfect. Salt water spray is the price of doing business for these beautiful shots. Have you noticed or expect any corrosion issues?

Thanks mate... yep the salt is taking its toll on the scews and the filter (constant cleaning to keep it clear)  other than that its been no problem..
.i just give it a spray and wipe down with WD40...

Great stuff yet again......I was wondering about the toll the spray takes........I wonder if lanotech or similar would be better.
I know when we used to do a lot of beach work in the 4wd we used to spray it on under the vehicles, and nothing would ever rust......its based on wool oil.

I will give lanotech a try... its probably to late for the screws that are rusting... i was going to contact DJI and ask about replacing them...

yeah maybe for the type of work you do, you could get a new set and send them off to be nickel plated ?
most places that do chrome will do nickel plating as well.
Lanotech or lanolin seem to work well....

yeah good idea ... i do a lot of flying on the coast and over the ocean ...

Hi Ricky... sorry for the delay getting back ... the place is Sawtell, about 5 hours drive north of Sydney Australia ...

Great video. I would recommend putting this on SkyPixel if you haven't done so already.
