Does the Inspire 1 include a microSD to SD adapter? How are you all connecting the microSD to your MacBooks for the firmware upgrade?

Hello, i had a strange issue. I updated the firmware on the inspire...the result: update fails.
I cancelled the bin file and download it again on the SD card.
For the second trial Nothing happened, no update anymore, no beep from the cam, Nothing.
Now everything seems normal, the remote is connected, the App is turning.......but...i am a little bit scared to try the first flight now. Not sure that everything works fine like the update fails.
How to do to make understand the inspire to accept a new firmware update?

Pro tip - carry spare microSD cards and microSD to SD card reader (there's usually one included with the purchase of most microSD cards), as well as a USB to microUSB cable in your Inspire case

OK... Never have issues like this, but... I can't extract the .bin file in order to place into the root of the micro sd card... Using a Mac...

Please explain, is this unlocking the motors, done in the app when you first get the Inspire or every time you fly?  Cheers Mark

Hello René, it probably may happen some times. Dji explained me that if you are able to unlock the motors in the App the update Will be ok. So today i had my first flight without any issues...everything worked great (thank you Dji Autumn :-)) )
But if you can't unlock the motors...then take contact with the Dji support center!

You need a Micro SD to SD Adapter. Most cards come with both. Hit a StaplesStore or Ebay or a Photo Dealer. You will need a SD Card Reader that has a usb Cable, Most have one already attached. Put it all together ver simple and connect the USB Cable from the reader and connect that to your MAC or PC. Go to the DJI Site do the Download to the Micro SD Card  and elect the reader from your computer. Do not extract the card or disconnect the Cable without Ejecting the unit from the computer first. There is a voltage present and if you just pull the Card or Cable out you could corrupt the file on the card. Then insert the Micro SD into the Camera.

While i was updating my Inspire to the latest version around 65% the update was cancelled. When I rebooted everything the app did not tell me that there is a new update (deleted the generated file on the sd).

What's the best program to use to extract the .bin file on a PC? I keep getting a window saying "The File Format is invalid or unspported"

The original Zip file works and that leaves me with one PDF file and another .bin file named WM610_FW_V01.02.00.14.bin Am I corect that this file needs to be extracted as well?

The *.bin file is a frimware used to update all i1 devices like copter, Tx, etc and should be copied to root folder on the microSD card. I have another question, how do you know there is a newer version of firmware / application available? Where DJI post info about updates?

I found out on my app. A pop-up appeared on my Ipad app while connected to the drone telling me a new firmware update was out and required. It even said if I don't update it within three days it was going to lock the Inspire until I did.

I'll try to get that pop up to come up real quick before I update and put the screenshot up for you.

Exactly!  I struggled with this for days before I finally had one of the Support reps on the line long enough to read out the versions to him that were displayed on my app.  Why hide this useful information

Does anyone know where I can find the new firmware full release note for the inspire 1?

So it can update NEW batteries you buy in the future.
It will update automatically this way as soon as you power up that new battery
