I sent in my battery to support and got an email it was repaired for free and shipped out. But I never got anything saying what was wrong with it and what they did to repair it? Can someone please check this for me? I thought I would get an email or something.

Just saw that, it was a bad one and could have even been worse given the number of riders that were there.

Any dji folks around to comment for the OP? Doubt they are interested in a completely irrelevant Avalanche.

no idea. say repaired but I heard when i called they replaced it. however I want it in writing and I want the slip of paper they give you when they repair your phantom. i still dont know what was wrong and why they had to replace or fix it.

the battery has a serial no. just like your quad,
i will guarantee you 1000% they do not repair batteries....No way in hell!, not worth the risk and no reward!
Can you find record of your battery serial no. that you sent out?
If i am wrong, i will drive up to Whistler and buy you lunch!

haha i didnt think they would repair them. it will be delivered back by monday. As of right now I dont have the serial number. should i have recorded it before I sent it out?

they havent sent anything or any notifications. juat sent it and sent back.the only way i found that abythibg was even happening was because I checked online.i am in the dark and have no word of anything!

sure you could have but they will not repair a battery, have a look at another if you have one, no way to open them up and not worth the risk...like i said, if you can prove they repaired it, i will drive up from Langley and buy you lunch...

I had a brand new battery show up one cell as 'damaged' according to the Go App. I noted the serial number, placed a small nearly invisible mark on the battery and sent it back to the company that sold it to me. I got a new battery about 3 weeks later, and it was not the old one. There was no explanation given. China is used to operating in an information vacuum, and they think the rest of us do too.

If you upload your flight records to healthy drones, you can get the battery info including serial numbers of each battery.

im not going to say what I'm thinking because some people of DJI support get mad jeje ,
but my recommendation is to contact DJI support and be patient they take their time to answer

The email you got was an automatically generated email. They did not repair your battery. So they're not going to tell you what was wrong with it. They just sent you a new one.

they probably didn't bother finding out.  at my old work we would get batteries in, I would toss em in the conditioner and if it failed I toss em in the recycle box.

Ummm..  well based on my experience they will ignore you unless you email and call them everyday for awhile and then they will give you non-answers until your head spins and then when you are really starting to get pissed they'll start saying things like "Well you should have known better than to fly over water. So even though our unit failed and powered off for no reason, you really shouldn't have been over water anyway, so it's your fault. But, we are awesome so here's what we'll do for you.  Since you just paid us $1400, we'll let you pay us another $699 and we'll send you a rebuilt unit, but not a battery, even though our battery went down and was ruined too. Hey! No need to thank us. We're DJI. Duping you into paying us more money for a unit that will fail again real soon is just a part of the job."

Try rereading what I said because that is not what I said.
But nice try trying to be a smart Alec.
We do check them. But we don't analyze it and dismantle in order to give every user A detailed thorough report.
