every picture I've taken with my phantom 3 standard is not a very good quality. No smudges or scratches on lense and its new but I just can't seem to get any kind of good photos out of it. Is it just me??  Are the phantom 3 standards only good for videos?  Any help would be great. I'm pretty bummed by the overall quality of my pics so far.  Thanks, Tre

For the most part, you need to do some post editing work. You may need to adjust your sharpness, and black and white points for starters.

When I first got my unit last year I was experiencing the same thing. I would shoot video and pull still captures for my final images, as it produced a better quality/looking image. But I too did some research and discovered that if I did my own post work the images were greatly improved. I have the phantom set to not sharpen or over saturate my dng image captures and I adjust everything in post.

Are you shooting in DNG?
