Hi everyone, I am new here........ Have had a bit of an Injury (ruptured Achillies Tendon) so I have had to kill some time and I got sick of editing so started to surf the net lol....

What do you all do for a living?

I own and operate a TV Production company, doing all sorts of stuff, but our main thing is Outside Broadcast.
I am a Broadcast engineer by trade, but my real passion is shooting documentries, and also taking on projects with difficult technical problems to overcome etc etc.
Done all sorts of stuff from farming to racing cars, but the TV industry is where my heart is.

I find it amazing the diversity of Drone users out there....... so what about you ?
I bet there is a huge resource of talented people out there.

I own a custom woodworking business and CNC shop.  The CNC gives me my tech fix during the day and the drone gives me my fix at night

I am retired from the Coast Guard. Went back to school and got a degree in digital film-making and now run my own small production company in the SF Bay Area. is a video we shot last summer of a car show. Note at 1:51 the shot of 6 Ferrari's pulling away... all owed by one guy!! I was puckered up flying over those. This was a free project we did for the organizers as this is a fund raiser for Parkinson's.

And my demo reel using the Inspire.

I just got my 333 Exemption and am looking for a licensed pilot in the Bay Area that would be willing to fly the inspire for money. Anyone? :-)

     I work at a  My family's Automobile dealership: Glenn Buege Buick- GMC Truck, In Lansing Michigan.  Only Part time because of a serious head injury.  ( Now you know why some of my posts dont sense make)

Trying to track someone is difficult, I am trying here in Michigan with Ice Wind Racers.

     I live in East Lansing the heart of Michigan State.  I just wish Winter did not last soooo long. Michigan is beautiful though ! We definitely experience all of the seasons.

All my video's were done with one controller and the Inspire.... your right about tracking surfers, they turn on a dime and move really fast... the only way is to try and anticipate what they are going to do... otherwise you will loose them,  the closer you are the harder it is to track them... good luck with the ice wind racers.... at least you don't have to worry about your inspire dropping in the water...

     Was that with the standard camera or the X5 ?   I am getting close to getting an X5, but if your're results are with the stock Inspire 1,  I may have to  reconsider.

The X3 is the go for this type of video... by far the best for FPV.... the X5 has a narrow'er FOV which makes it much harder to track.... i have the X5 but i would not use it for videoing surfers even with the12mm lens...

Ha....if only I could say it was doing that, or jumping 10 double decker buses with my off road buggy......lol
A bit more mundane actually........ I was launching myself up onto the riser/stage we use for talk show type sets......only about 10" tall, but it was really awkward and I sort of had to launch myself really hard with my foot...........Bang......went off like someone shot me.....really loud BANG, and then it was over.
I am in week 8 on crutches now, so maybe another 4 weeks or so.
They took the non operative approach , so its just healing on its own.........pretty amazing seeing it ripped of the heal bone and left a 26mm gap.
It really sucks not being all that mobile, which I am not used to at all.
Out of all the stupid and risky things I do where I could easily do damage to myself, something as simple as that got me
