So I currently own a P3P and haven't updated the software to avoid that geofence crap. My question is this, I just purchased a used inspire and what will I do or what will need to be done to still avoid the geofence issue? Is it as simple as just not updating my dji app? Thanks guy any help is appreciated.

The GEO fence is a Beta program and it has nothing to do with automatic updating.
You have to download the app directly onto you Android device and put the 1.7 GEO firmware onto your aircraft.

No problem, it's there for you try try it out if you ever want to .

If I understand this right, the NFZ will still be there but you need Geo Fencing to turn it off.   Correct?

Best to update and grab the latest tweaks. You can turn the Geofencing off, don't know why you would want to though. It is a great feature !
