Purchased the Phantom 3 Professional last night, upgraded the RC firmware with no problem. Downloaded Firmware v1.6.0040, read the PDF, watched the tutorial video, followed the steps.


The first time, it ran a few minutes, then the tone changed and the gimbal LED went from green/red to red and nothing but noise. I turned it off, waiting a minute, then turned it back on.


It blinks green/red as it boots. but wastes no time now to go directly to red and noise.  The result.txt is as follows:

ok i did the same thing the frist thing you do is form the card and then you go dji and get the right phantom 3 pro from there site download it drop it in the the card which will f drive on your lap top or pc .then put the card back in the 3 andturn it on and  do not touch it for about 20 mins  it will make dddd ddd sound and the camera will move around and its done  make sure it level

After updating and having it fail the same way, I put the chip back into the drone and all it will do id beef fast, loud, and flash red.  It will do nothing else. Tried all kinds of configurations - nothing but noise.
