Interesting shots.....

Didn't someone on here say it was a no go zone?

I am from down under, so you could be in a different city to the Super Bowl lol

It looks like Yerba Buena Island, I would say that flight was inside the 32NM TFR by 1nm

My bad, I should have seen the confusion possible here. I've added some words to the original post to explain.

No worries, the Super Bowl was held in Santa Clara, CA, Feb 7, 2016

The video was shot near “Super Bowl City” San Francisco, CA Feb 5, 2016

About 36 miles and two days away…

Looks nice. The shots are clearly much better than the X3 camera in terms of pixels quality. Usable night shots possible now. The low bitrate in the H264 compression is still a big issue, which is sad to see. I know that this file has been compressed by YouTube also, so its hard to see the original quality.

Was this filmed in 4K/UHD and downscaled? Would be great to see the original footage!

The only thing that worries me is the "posterizing time" effect in the waves at 00:47, can you see it? I got my X5 camera a few weeks ago. I have noticed the same compression artefacts in the X5 compression as the X3, though not that bad. Its probably because the bigger sensor and better pixel sampling. I know this has been discussed loads and loads here on the forums, so ill just leave it for DJI as a reminder.

My X5 camera is still a big jump in quality compared to the X3.

Nice work, always fun to see!

regards
mike

Shot at 1080 30fps. youtube does not do it justice.

I'm not sure that is posterization, if I'm seeing what you're seeing? I see pink clouds reflected on the water. The ship traffic left some wake waves, which could give that effect, maybe that's it? Check 10-15 sec left side of the bridge, the water, I see posterization there for sure.

Overall, this is a big improvement over  the X3. I really like it.

Thank you for the compliment!

Thank you for the questions and compliment, greatly appreciated!

Settings, at take off, were: manual mode, 1/60, f2.0, ISO 800, 1080@30fps

Shutter speed and aperture were locked leaving just ISO for exposure control. Exposure adjustments (ISO) were made on the fly with the thumb wheel. I was concentrating on how the picture looked and was not paying close attention to the resultant ISO numbers. Safe to say adjustments were in a range of ISO 800 to ISO 3200.
