I am considering upgrading to an X5 camera for my V2.0. I am dissapointed in the fixed focus of the X3. As I understand it, the X5 is auto-focus with a range of 0.2m to infinity. I have shot many stills that are not very sharp. (Out of focus) Is the X5 that much better?

WOW, looks like that roof needs repair. The photo doesn't look that bad to me. BUT the X5 will give you much more detail. If you are only doing roof inspections then I'd stay with the X3. If you are going to be doing any other photos/video other than inspections it's worth the extra money.

Could of been 3.4, was using various shutter speeds 200-400 /3.4 / 0. Hope it helps

Roof inspections only as a side line to help make a few bucks.
And, yes, that 90 year old roof needs a lot of help!
Mostly I shoot scenic vistas and architecture.
Don't know what the shutter was. Also found out after the bird was in the air that ND4 filter was on.
