Hi All i am buying a phantom 1 From ebay, I brought this as i didn't want to pay loads of money to crash it.

I am looking for advise as where to start, Shoud i update firmware if so how do i go about it?
Hopefully the instruction book might give me a start.

There are plenty of vids on youtube to watch on setting it up to first time flying, once you calibrate the compass and it has a lock on satelites, you're good to go, keep it in gps mode and go slow in an open area. VERY easy to fly, just pay attention to the led on the quad, once it starts blinking red when you move it, bring it back to you, if it starts flashing, it's coming down soon. I get about 8 minutes out of a battery, with gopro attached and flying slow, less time the more you move it quickly.

Hi Thanks for your reply , Do I need to do a firmware update as I brought it  off a guy from eBay ?

If I do, how do I go about it?

The very first thing you have to do is to read the manual
you also can make an update if required after
