Unfortunately this train does not go regularely anymore so the weather could not be choosen.


It looks risky but in reality it was not more risky then any other flight. Everything was exactly researched and programmed before.

WOW! we had one of these pass by our place in san diego and there were THOUSANDS of people with cameras everywhere!

Nice video, Machoman. Were you worried about flying through the smoke? Did it have any effect on the Inspire? I sometimes worry because I fly quite often in smoggy air in China and I don't think it's good for... Well, anything... But in this case the Inspire long term.

Yes actually the weather helped here. I also try to search places where the normal photographers will not stand as with the drone they are a real problem as its impossible to avoid to have them in the picture.

Soon I think it will be impossible to make such footage anyway because it only works as long as no other drone is in the near.

There is absolutely no problem with the smoke. More problem with the fog as the Inspire gets totally wet even its not raining. Also the camera gets wet, it MUST always view back otherwise you see nothing in a few seconds.

There were no problems with the batteries all the time but I think they are much more stable in waypoint then in manual flight. When I tried to fly a battery a 2nd time at 60% a hour later manually I returned immediately because I got haevy voltage fluctuations.

Honestly I am rather ashame for the quality of the edit and sound.............I know its bad cut and too long I just made this for fun and I dont invest much time in editing. Unfortunately unlike in USA or UK or Australia its almost impossible to earn even one Cent with a drone in all countries where I am normally so I just fly for fun.

What do you mean by it must always view back? Do you mean fly one way and turn the camera the other way?

Yes actually the Inspire is always heading in front direction and the camera looks somekind back. I always control the camera manually.

To avoid any problems with the signal the last waypoint is always set near the homepoint so it will return whatever happens.

Bravely done. I think that blending some adequate (bluegrass?) instrumental music into will help to mask annoyingly repeated and looped sound effects. Shortening to a 4-5 min will not hurt as well.

No its from another video but I didnt invest much time in it so it doesnt really match. Its just to have any sound.
