So looking at getting another battery and charger for my Standard, from DJI store they are £156 plus delivery.

When a new Standard is still £449 - why not buy a spare for another £293.99.....if my camera ever needed replacing then that will be £279 plus delivery for a new one - leaving the standard quad plus controller owing me £14.99.  

No brainer or no brain ?!?!?

Just keep the money in the bank.  That way, if you need spares you can buy another Standard, if not, you haven't wasted your money on spares you may never use.  If it was a business & you needed a backup, then yes, it would be a no brainer.

Remember, prices will come down but are very unlikely to go up.

This is so true.

Think I will wait at least until March - incase there are any further reductions in prices.
