Hello everyone,
I thought the P3 advanced could fly up to 3 miles? I can only get about a mile out of mine before losing my video feed. any body have any ideas why?

Lots of variables affect range.
If you want max range you need to have correct antenna orientation and be in an interference area and at the right height.
Over the sea is good for distance.  Urban environments are not.

The furthest my P3A had ever gone was about 11,000 feet, over ocean water.
Video and RC signal were good. I was using a variation of the windsurfer.
I had to bring the quad back due to battery running low.
Can it really go out 3 miles? Can the battery last that long?
I dare not to test its limit.

The guys at DBS Mods have gotten over 5 miles with their antenna modification.  I actually purchased one from them today.  I live in Los Angeles and the range is pretty limited here from interference.

I have a phantom 3 professional and it only goes. 5 km but im always inside or near a city so I probably have CE mode activated.. Have tried in US and philippines

Thanks for your reply. I'm flying in open ground with few houses on 10 acre tracks. I'm up just about 400ft.  it's my video signal  that i lose, I have all the bars left on my p3 range.

I don't  have an ocean around, just fields. 11000 ft would be nice!

The Max Distance limit goes to 50Do you have that turned off?

Nope but there are huge interferences i would say
