I would like to use the Olympus 12mm with the lens hood, Dji doesn't recomend that because of the weight from the lens hood.
If I would put some counterweights on the gimbal is there an other issue that could happen? or should that work?
Anyone here that uses the Olympus 12mm with the Lens Hood?

If you can find a light enough hood and then offset the weight, should be ok. Keep in mind, the hood catches wind, so with the added weight and catching wind, not the best for the gimbal. i have a better solution for you:

With the step up rings, not only do you add what you need to make the balance correct, bit the shape is basically like a lens hood. light and covers 2 functions. Not sure what shipping is like to you, but for me was $20 to my door. cheaper then the OEM olympus hood I belive. works well. let me know if you have any questions.

I am just getting this lens. I have not found any info on there being any weights to use with it. Is there none if you are not using the hood?

No, DJI does not have a dedicated ring for this lens. It is light if you use it alone. Personally I will not run it with nothing on it, way too unbalanced. I use the series of step up rings, its perfect. gets me the lens hood functionality I want. As for doing video, I use a B+W ND, its a little heavy, but its not too bad.

I take that back, DJI says you can use the 46-10 for the 12mm. I prefer to use the step up rings.

The 3-axis gimbal is sensitive to the weight of the mounted lens. When you are using an Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 12mm, the lens hood can be removed without disturbing the gimbal’s operations. However, if you are using a Panasonic Lumix 15mm or DJI MFT 15mm, the lens hood must be attached. For more detail, please go to the download page for official guidance.

gybo102, great idea.  What combination/how many of these rings are you using on the Olympus 12 mm, please?
