Download firmware 1.3 and put the BIN file onto a SD card and put that in the USB port on the RC.
Open the DJI Go App
RC OFF, hold down
C1, C2, video record, and the camera settings dial
Power up the RC

Leave for approximately 5mins(this took 5 mins for my RC install)

DO NOT POWER OFF & start the Rebind manually
Step 1
C1, C2, video record
Step 2
There after camera setting Dial
Step 3
You will here beeps
Step 4
Press Link Button On Aircraft


However my DJI App is asking for a Firmware update which I don't want to do as my GL300B radio updates to 1.5.70+

I don't know why there is a "+" sign,anyone else also see that in their firmware update?

You actually didn't do it correctly but regardless, are you all connected now?
Don't worry about the +.
I said to do a hard reset, then put the SD card in and update the RC to 1.3 AFTER the RC has been reset.

I really don't know if I downloaded the correct FW to my P3A as the file starts with P3S 1.6......... where I would have expected it to read P3A 1.6........ I'm confused now. Or is it that the P3A and P3S share the same FW file.

It can be confusing, P3S_FW_V01.06.0040 is for the Advanced.

Also, if you update the app, the + will go away and you app will say 2.6.0.4

No problem at all, as long as you understand your aircraft 100% you will be fine.
In your downtime, watch the tutorial videos and read the PDF manual that's in the Academy section of the app.
When you open the app, the top right corner (graduation hat) will take you to the Academy section. There's also a simulator in there as well.
And here's a neat animated video of the top 10 Pilot Errors that can be valuable to watch.

Sorry but I am not sure when I am told to format the Micro SD card from my P3P as there are a few ways it can be done on my computer. iMac I use ok.

When it comes time to do a firmware update, you can update the SD card using FAT32 or MS DOS FAT
And download the ZIP firmware file form the correct page of your aircraft.
Then in your computer, extract the file and you'll see the BIN file. That is the only file that should be on the SD card when you install it into the camera gimbal.
And remember to leave the remote controller turned off. And it can take up to 25 minutes to update.

Hello, need help with my Phantom 3 pro, i have no video feed. I've updated all firmware on rc, aircraft and batteries but still get a no signal red tab on the app. I've done the following:




Updated firmware to: App 2.6, Aircraft 1.6.40, and RC 1.5.70

Re-installed app on both iPad mini and Samsung S5

Re-linked Controller with Phantom

Ensured all connections are tight and there are no loose wires




I've contacted DJI and they have had me go through this whole routine several time. Before I return this Phantom can anyone give me an other advice? Thanks

Funny thing. I was told not to update my controller just my aircraft. When I put the USB stick with micro SD card in the usb slot it would not update. So I rang my suppler who said not to update the controller. So I didn't all is well.

I think what he is saying,  is copy the file which is a .bin file to your micro SD card.

Firmware upgraded no problem and no issues flying 40 minutes.

Took 13min to update!!

Cool  glad to hear , I'm stuck not sure how to fix above in  post 60 . I keep hoping someone from Dji will offer advice or someone.

I have a Phantom 3 Pro.  I just did a firmware update.  I checked that they were successful and they were.  Now, when I turn on the drone, it makes a loud steady "squawk", "squawk"."squawk" and the gimbal moves but doesn't set into the normal position like before.  I tried a different battery,  I assume this has something to do with the update, as I'd flown it a couple of hours earlier.

Just asking, is it correct for Phantom 3 Standard, we only can upgrade the FW thru wifi. No need to use the SD Card. Correct me if im wrong.

Latest firmware update doesn't install. I download the file, unzip the .bin file to the root on my memory card, put the card in the P3A, turn it on, and nothing. It does not update the craft's firmware. I've tried multiple memory cards, no luck. I have been successful with earlier firmware updates, just not this one.

From the DJI Inspire download page, you used the drop down menu and chose X5 right ?
What does the About page say in the General settings ?

My X5 is in getting fixed so I have my Z3, correct me if I am wrong but from further research I think that is the problem, can it only be updated with the X5??

I believe you need a X3/X5 to update the aircraft.
I would just wait to update until your X5 is returned.

It's on the side of the aircraft.
If you go to the About page in General Settings, you can also get the serial#.
