Hi,

My new Inspire 1 Pro on start up displays a firmware update required for the unit, the camera and the controller.
It states that this must be performed online. I have tried online through my ipad and it doesnt initiate a download. I also downloaded the file direct to an SD card and inserted it into the camera prior to switching on the unit but it failed to initiated an update. I have followed all the instructions in the download file on updating firmware etc. Now everytime I power up the unit it displays the same message telling me to upgrade the firmware?

Please advise

What version of FW are you using right now. Please follow the steps shown in the video:

Try this , another fellow had a similar problem.  Do a sequential update:

"Mine came with 1.4.00.10+ on the aircraft, 1.4.30 on the master RC, and 1.0.0.30+ on the camera. Normally, I would simply upgrade to the latest v1.3.0.60, but another thread suggested sequential upgrade to get the camera and other components upgraded. So I started with v1.1.0.40 and then v1.2.0.50 (this one has the battery firmware, so I got both batteries here) and then finally v1.3.0.60 and they all completed successfully. Not positive it had to be done that way, but it worked

Also, take care with the early camera upgrades. For me, one of them appeared to finish with a green led on the gimbal, but the sound feedback wasn't correct. Sure enough it wasn't finished. So allow the upgrades to complete, and provide both visual and audio feedback to ensure they have completed!"

Not sure if this helps , but worth a shot.

You have a Pro which it the most recent Inspire so you do not have to do any updating to the RC through the USB port on it.
In the About page it will tell you what version everything is on.
And on startup of the app in the status page it tells you what needs to be updated. On the RC, it will update through the app, for some reason if it does not then delete and reinstall the app.
for the aircraft, did you download the 1.3 firmware from the Pro page?
If not, then download the zip file again. reformat the SD card and open the zip file and copy only the BIN file to the SD card. Then put it in the aircraft and power it up (leave the RC OFF) and it can take up to 25 minutes to update.
If you follow the video and these steps you should be ok.

Having trouble as well. Inspire 1 Pro. On the firmware section of the app it says  "camera requires upgrade".

Formatted the card, put 1.3.0.60.bin on the card, put it in the Inspire, turned on the Inspire (remote is off). It does about 4 minutes of DDDD and then goes to a constant D..........

Text file says "update failed, reboot and try again". I've tried 3 times, but nothing different.

Any other tricks or ideas?

I am not sure if it will make any difference but cant hurt.  Dow-load the 1.3.0.60  from the Zenmuse X-5 page.  I saw on another site someone tried and it worked.  NOW this could have been coincidence but it cant hurt.  Also perhaps try another SD card.  There have been several of these type  post on the Pro x5 version and there has been no clear cut fix as far as I can see.

Please let me know if this works.
