Have seen 3 different sources report $1399, but they could be wrong, we will see.

I think there will be "flyaways" before crashes.

I can just see it now:    "I didn't realize that the drone would take off and follow the car/bike/boat/airplane that I tagged"

Or:   "home come RTH didn't work when the aircraft was on the otherside of a 50 story building?  I thought it has collision avoidance"

In the live DJI presentation , they say $1399   so thats the price  

I imagine that the DJI R&D have all ready crashed a few.

yea also i dont trust that obstacle avoidance feature ,   i see some post coming  of crashes from people that trust 100% that feature , it is only to avoid obstacles in front of the quad

Official DJI e-mail to me, buy now option = Phantom 4 at $1399, it's official !!!

Nor will I,  I have a P3S and P3A next I'm getting is the Inspire.. When no time soon Lol

People buy Lambo's and wreck them....there will plenty of pilot error wrecks and most will blame DJI.

I'm going to buy the 4, I waited for a better all around DJI. Many people got sucked into the low low price. They told everyone they had a better faster product coming soon. Now they do.

lf the max height is only 400 feet, don't venture around any tall obstacles or your RTH may cause a crash on the beeline home.
