Wow i like the new Phantom  4 with sensor on front for Obstacle-Avoiding, maybe this time i´m not flight intro the trees But the camera are the same but not metal that better coz metal make camera cold big change u get soft focus in colder weather. When i buy the Phantom 4 for sure i take dji care.

Do you know when they will ship to dealers for display and demo units?

So march 15th is the offical ship date.

The camera has changes, new lens with 8 elements. crisper and clearer images and video.
Chromatic aberration has been reduced by 56% and lens distortion had been reduced by 36% compared to Phantom 3 Professional. In addition to lens improvements, camera firmware has been tweaked to enable the camera to capture 120fps video in full 1080p FHD (the camera’s field of view will be reconfigured to 47° when recording in this mode) for smooth slow motion.

I have had about 23 people come into the store so far looking to see one.

DJI-Ken, is the lens cover removeable?  If so, is it the same diameter as the P3?

Yes, it's the same as the P3, so your filters will work.

Only one problem will not fit in my dji hardshell backpack I hope u can upgrade inside for new shape that can fit the P4

I don't like the way it looks.. Hopefully it can make up for it with functions and features.

Jeez,  I already feel like an outsider.  The Phantom 4 has its own forum already and no one even owns one yet.  Talk about exclusive!

Yes, better flight time but I'm happy with around 20 mins.
Front obstacle avoidance is nice although I unsure if you can expand it to all 4 front,side,side,back.
Great speed but and great distance but it's not a racing drone.
The big one for me - no retractable landing gear - so very limited camera angles.

With a few modifications it will fit in the back pack. The P4 legs are just a little longer (front to back) so you would need to remove some material.
BUT, then you have the other issue of the batteries won't fit.
I would just keep your P3 in it's back pack or sell it with the back pack and wait to see what DJI comes up with as a solution. Although the case it comes with looks pretty cool.

You can do what everyone else does with the P3 without panning, set a waypoint mission and you have total yaw control during the mission.
Now you can use Active Track and have full control including yaw to get a perfect shot.

also - can you add a 'charger' to the accessories list? I want to get an extra batter & charger. ty!

Yes, the max altitude is 500m

You'd have to be a buffoon not to know that a new version Phantom was coming out when they dropped the price of the P3P to $999.

I'm going to go out on a limb, and state that whatever date for shipping you get, it will be missed by a bit. Possibly as much as 4-6 weeks.

Ken, not knocking you, but DJI has a pretty dismal record for new introductions and delivery. This board will be full of complaints on slow delivery and poor customer service from the Sales team in China.

The advantage of a DJI direct sale is free shipping and no sales taxes in the USA. Other than that, walking into a brick and mortar store and walking out with your purchase is much more satisfying.

I wish you guys good luck on the Phantom 4.
