On the P4 buy page one of the photos shows a hard carrying case.   Does the P4 come with a travel case?  It does not mention it, nor does it say any case comes in the box.

Saw that same picture and hope it's true.  Though, I might end up buying a case after the fact.. but would like something 'legit' with the price we're paying~

You should probably give more detail in the "what's in the box" tab

It looks like a hard styrofoam, used for shipping and simple storage/transport ofter the fact.  Much nicer that the P3 shipping box but not a real hard case…IMHO!   I like to be right as much as the next guy, but on this I hope I'm wrong!

Agreed, looks to be styrofoam...

I believe it's the same material (Styrofoam) that goes into the internal of P3 hard case. Which I regretted buying.

Exactly, it's just a freebie to protect whilst it's being shipped so everyone please don't start complaining about the quality
