I was giving info that was told to me.
I tried it out and indeed I can set the max limit to 500m same as the P3. I am awaiting firm conformation.

OK Ken my credit card is back out.  Probably need to put this to bed quick cause the forums are blowing up over this.

I don't get it, can some of you not read. It CLEARLY states that it is adjustable to a maximum of 500m. This should not have to be repeated so many times! extremely frustrating.

Hi, the 400 feet is the default altitude limite, it should be the same as Phantom 3. You can adjust the limit in the app. The Phantom 4’s beginner mode limits Beginner flyers to 100ft (30m) up and away. It also prevents camera tilt controls to allow beginner pilots to familiarize themselves with flying before adding more distance and camera control. When beginner mode is switched off, the Phantom 4 will default to a maximum flight altitude of 390ft (120m) above the takeoff point. This can be adjusted to a maximum of 1640ft (500m). You can also set your own maximum distance.
