1) DJI does have a physical presence in the state of CA yet the previous poster said they were not being charged for tax in CA.  Presumably for this to wok DJI is just eating the cost of the tax in the form of a discount on the product price.

2) Legally people are still on the hook for sales tax regardless of whether the company has a physical presence there or collects it, it's just the buyer's responsibility to declare it to the state and pay directly.  Almost no one does and states have yet to attempt any kind of process to audit or collect on this.

I was just told by chat mine isn't shipping until the 22, and i thought i ordered early!

Ugg.  Is it an option to cancel pre-orders?  I'd rather walk out day 1 from the apple store.

Shipping from where? China? California?
Shipping how? Via ship? Plane?
Shipping when? On the 15th? Now to arrive on the 15th?
Shipping how long from the time shipped to when it arrives on my doorstep?

I'm seeing on other sites people are picking up their P4s at Apple Stores.  The Apple Store near me is listed as having them available Today!  Too bad I'm not buying one just yet....

The chat people are clueless they give you differndy dates.   I'm still hoping for a March 15 shipping.

My order went through at 12:20 Eastern Time on March 1.  That was just after the website was updated with the new P4.

Shipping status of my P4 just changed from "pending" to "prepare". Now let's see how long the preparation takes...

DJI Customer service just told me mine won't ship til the 23rd. Thinking of cancelling it and getting it from apple store.

haha, thanks! But maybe I'll not be the first to see the change from "prepare" to "shipped" - and that's all that counts!

A brief update: I ordered mine on March 1st 19:10:47 (UTC), paid via credit card, payment confirmed within the hour. My shipping status just changed to preparing within the last hour. However, I just spoke with DJI presale customer service and was told that my order is not slated to ship until March 22nd from the Los Angeles warehouse.

Hopefully this information helps some other forum users.

I doubt that presale customer service has any specific info about individual orders.  My guess is that they have been instructed to under-promise so that fulfillment can over-deliver.

I too placed my pre-order on the first day.  Last week after waiting on hold for 45 minutes I was told that my order was going to ship on the 15th and would arrive in 3-4 days from that.  Is this not true?  Will Apple have exclusivity until the 22nd.  If they do I am extremely angered as our company has a partnership with Apple and I could have picked it up tomorrow.  Does anybody really know what the status is?  I am so excited I can burst

What does "Official launch, limited offer" on the UK Phantom4 order page mean?  It's rather cryptic, and could be perceived as trying to push sales on the threat of a price rise, which does seem like an odd tactic?

Is the Uk price of the Phantom 4 scheduled to increase, if so on what date?  Thanks.

When the Phantom 3 Pro was available for pre-order there was a special pre-order price. A while after that the price went up.
The limited offer means the price very well is going to go up.

  I too ordered on march 1st and mine still says pending.  Well, at least mine wont have all the bugs the first ones off the line usually have!  hehe I kid I kid

Just got my Fedex shipping notice. its arriving Weds the 16th(fyi I ordered at 2:57pm eastern on the 1st.

Mine says shipping but the tracking number doesn't work.

It doesn't say. It's in Carson, California and appears to have arrived from China. It shows a delivery date of 3/18.

My Phantom 4 with extra battery and 2x extra sets of props shipped. Ordered on March 9th. Shipping via DHL to Canada.
