I read in another post by a blogger affiliated with DJI that the Phantom 4 remote has replaced "P-A-F" modes with "P-S-F" with the S being Sports mode.

My question is, given the importance of learning ATTI mode and being able to quickly access it in the event of an emergency, how does one enter (and hopefully quickly enter) ATTI with the Phantom 4?

I think it's just semantics.  A mode is essentially sport mode on the P3.

Is it though? I though it still kept GPS even during sport mode.  And I could be wrong.  But I was thinking it did.

The P4 remote only has two differences from the P3. The play button on the P3 is now a pause button on the P4. And the F position on the P3 switch is now A on the P4. You access the F-mode features by tapping an icon on the left side  of the screen under the RTH icon.So you enter ATTI mode by flicking the mode switch to "A"

No, "A" is still ATTI on the switch.So it's P S and A

Yes, it has GPS in sport mode, it just doesn't have the obstacle avoidance in Sport mode.

It would be really interesting to know what the P4 Tx switches do when flying a P3.  I expect there will be only one Go App and if a P3 is selected the switches would behave just like they do on a P3 Tx.

That's exactly how it will work. If flying a P3 on a P4 remote the pause button will be the play button and the F-mode will be the Sport mode switch.

Good to know, I guess I'll hold off installing my HDMI module until my P4 arrives.
