I'm interested in buying the Osmo but nowhere is it mentioned whether it supports any form of Wi-Fi other than hosting its own Access Point (AP).

In other words, some of the newer action cams are supporting Wi-Fi "client mode" where they can join an exisitng WiFi network, in addition to the default setup of being the AP itself, similar to Wi-Fi Direct, etc.

Not all devices refer to this the same way.  For example, on the Xiaomi Yi action cam, they call the "Wi-Fi Station Mode".

We're using this for real-time feeds that are uploaded via the same Wi-Fi network and the Osmo's ability to join a a Wi-Fi network as a client device is critical to us.

Thank you in advance!

Thanks for your advice, I think that's a useful function, too. We need to take serious consideration about it.

Thank you for the reply.

From your response, it sounds like this is not currently possible.  In other words, are you saying that the DJI OSMO cannot currently connect to a Wi-Fi network, but instead, can only operate as its own dedicated Access Point?

Thanks again!

That's correct and only one device can be connected to the Osmo at any one time

You've put forward a very good suggestion.
Unfortunately, our Osmo doesn't support that feature right now, your idea will be convey to our engineer for analysis. Thanks, again!

Have the engineers implemented this feature yet?

Would be great to use this camera over a wifi system, especially with RTMP over LAN. 4G networks aren't reliable enough for broadcasting.
