A quicky......Dose the inspire 1 require a Tablet or Smartphone with the pilot app in order to fly it?
or is it flyable without any form of smart device (Just bare control)?

I'm sure someone from DJI will need to give a definitive answer, but I believe you have to have a device that can run the app. I don't think you can calibrate the compass without it.

u can bare control without smart device. Almost all the basic function u can finish through RC. Like compass calibration, u can switch the Fly  Mode stick up and down for several times to trigger.

Thanks airymok Wouldn't want too be flying it with a smart device and all of a sudden the device or app crashes sending the Inspire into and early grave.

u can try HDMI device to see video.
