Note 5 no longer connecting?

Hey Fourm first post here.  So for some reason, after the android 6.0.1 update, DJI go will no longer connect to my phantom 3 advanced.  The controller seemes to be connecting just fine, and the drone is working great as well.  But whenever I try to connect the controller, I just get stuck on the "how to connect" screen.  Is there a bug or something preventing this or could it be the controller?

Many times with an OS upgrade, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the GO App. If you choose to do this, remember to backup your Flight Records, either by syncing them with the DJI cloud from within the GO App, or by manual backup using USB. They're in Device Storage/DJI/dji.pilot/FlightRecord/

I uninstalled and reinstalled the GO app but still getting the same results.  I was able to try it on a friends iphone 6 and it worked fine, which leads me to believe that this may not be an issue with the controller.

Yeah, DJI probably hasn't tested against 6.0.1 since the supported Android devices may not even support that OS version (My Note 4 is stuck at 5.1.1). Sorry...

Try to reinstall the app, and try this process: Turn on the remote-> turn on the aircraft-> connect the mobile -> enter DJI GO, try to use different USB cables and restart the app.

Have you tried to use iphone? If the problem still persist, then it might be the USB port problem.

Yes, I tried it with an iphone 6 and it worked fine.

Then it might be a mobile device compatibility issue, the USB port on the RC is good.

I also have a Note 5 and and trying to avoid updating to 6.0 Android.  Have you had any luck yet with this?

I have a Note 5 with Android 6.0.1.  I have no issues.

I have a note 5 same issue, worked at first then update on go app and later a update on note 5 softwares, now don't work. Have called DJI have emailed DJI. Still issue is not being addressed.

I have the same issue since updating to Android M on my Note5.  I have tried all the suggested fixes.. Uninstall reinstall, different USB cable, even replaced the bored on the controller.
tried my Samsung tab and have no issues.  tab is still on Android L. Any word on a fix or a other app that could be conflicting since the upgrade?
