Have to fly my P3P close to and between steel structures. will be about 3 meters from the steel structure. witch mode would be best for this? anybody know if there is any danger of the compass acting up?

thanks for the advice. I understand that P atti mode is auto selected by the craft. do you mean attitude mode? A on the RC?

I'd use GPS mode if possible.
The effect of teh steel will depend on how much steel there and how close.
You won't know how much itt affects the Phantom until you try.

Just approach slowly, watching for your Phantom start to slowly spiral and/or fly a curve instead of straight.
If you notice this, back off a bit (or up if that is away from the steel) and the effect will go away.
Experiment to find where you can fly easily.

May be a case for prop guards.  At least a slow impact will bounce you off VS stall a prop..

Yes, I mean A on the remote.

It depends how much room you've got, but I'd personally not risk having the aircraft start drifting off on its own & then have to switch to ATTI mode.
