I saw this on PhantomPilots but they banned me because Meta4 said that IMU and Compass calibration doesn't need to be calibrated more than like once a year unless you travel to the moon.
Only DJI says otherwise and even put in redundancy. I guess you can't argue when you are correct if someone is a big bad ADMIN!!
Anyway, will you do me a favor and post my unboxing for me and tell them it's from UPTOLEVEL6
By the way, there is 96 layers here and only one was shot with a P3P, can you guess which one?
Can you please post my P4 Unboxing and let them know that it's from me and if they un-ban me before the 19th like they said they will, I'll answer any questions because I've been reading and there is a lot of mis info going on there for a change,
You can get by without doing one for maybe even a year but that one time you become one of the "fly away" statistics.
Also, and I am just guessing that you fly your birds in similar locations because you won't be able to get away with that at different altitudes or where the magnetic fields of the core are a lot different or if you get electromagnetic inference,
You really don't need to calibrate every time, just CHECK but it's a good idea, especially when you change locations. If you want to keep trying your luck, thats fine by me. As I told him, I don't care what you do but why do you think DJI put dual IMUs and compasses in there? REDUNDANCY.
I hate to admit that as much as I like the dude that made the video and I really do. I think your humble, I thought your video was super funny, I can't lie and say that there wasn't a small part of me that wanted that rope to break until I realized that you would have no recourse and I don't want anyone in the same boat as me to fly.
BY THE WAY DJI, I can fly if I wanted to right now and I am CHOOSING not to. I have the APK. I must admit, I don't want to break my warranty either. ;)
P4 launched without proper soft ware to fly.
I can't believe DJI when doing all the hype over P4, forgot that buyers would need that little Extra thing to make a £1500 toy work.
Thats Funny.
Great Video.
