You can charge everything tonight and it will not hurt it at all.

This is Thursday morning.  If I did crash, I wouldn't damage anything and easy to find with the other Phantom.  Just look for a hole in the snow.

So what is the general rule for charging the phantom 2 battery, Just got one and I have two flights  ...

The battery will automatically discharge to about 50% if not used for about 10 days.  It is recommended to store the battery at about 50% if you will not be using it and storing it for some time.  After about 20 normal charges, run the battery down to about 8% and do a full recharge.  That will replenish the efficiency.  If stored for a long period of time, store in a metal box at 50 % and keep a check on them so they will not deplete to 0%.  That will make them a brick and kill them.

so gerry, are you saying if it gets down to 1 flashing light (indicating less than 25% i think is what that means) i should charge it to 50% if going to store it for say another week at that point?

25% to 50% is ok,  just don't let it get to 0%.  That will kill the battery.  One of mine is at that now.

if it only blinks, how do you tell the diff between 8% and 24% without plugging it into the PC?

When it starts to blink, put it on the charger or in the Phantom and check what percentage it is at.  I might throw one of the birds up in the air and get some video after this next storm passes on Monday.

I WISH I could.  Gertrude might be flying Monday or Tuesday and she doesn't like the snow.

You have a point there.  It's so cold up here this week, even the crows are wearing wool coats.
