DJI Care Help! Poor Customer Service

Today, I tried to purchase DJI Care for my P3P which was activated more than 48 hours ago.  I was told that I could not purchase it because I could not send in a verification video.  I understand the need for a verification video, but this is not possible because my P3P is at their repair facility in Carson Ca for a non-crash related repair (data recorder errors) under warranty.  They can personally inspect it. In fact, this is the second time that I have had to send my P3P in for this exact same problem.  I was told that they replaced the logic board the first time, but when it was returned to me it had the exact same problem as when I sent it in!!!! I never even flew it when I got it back.


I would greatly appreciate it if someone from DJI with some common sense would intervene  to help resolve this issue.

norbertw48, I'm sorry for your experience! Could you please pass me your RMA or Ticket number, we will look into your case.
Also what issues did you have with data recorder errors? It started to lose your flight records?

The second RMA number is RMA: 0308201619138267485E
The second Ticket number is 160312IPK-PH5201.

I returned my P3Pin early January 2016 as instructed.  The case number was 1601139Z4-PH3428. You received it on 13 Jan 2016.  According to the "Repair Progress Inquiry” it was repaired and tested on 15 January 2016.  I was out of the country when it was returned so I was unable to test it until I returned several days ago.  I have been able to recover the .DAT files using a MAC computer using a modified method I found online, but when in Flight Data Mode, the P3P still reports Data Recorder Errors exactly like it did in December 2015.  I don't know what the actual errors are.  The .dat files appear normal.

What you guys need to work on is improving the quality of your product.  How many people reporting problems like this, the No Signal error, gimbal problems, etc., is it going to take?

Uh, yeah, whatever.  That answer doesn't even make sense.  

I'll wait with bated breath for them to contact me.  About what, I don't know, because I already have an RMA and finally did get a shipping label late this morning.

With all due respect the DJI is a very high standard of product for the price. I have worked with many different rc brands over the many years ive been flying and i must say for all their faults. provide a fantastic product.

the nature of the hobby im afraid. You should try 6 ch rc helis they are a nightmare compared to the phantom 3. Always crashing due to part failure and always a nightmare to repair, then issues with vibrations etc etc It seems that some of the phantoms get out not in such good shape as others. Id love to know the percentage in fact I may start a post with a vote system to see as Ive had zero issues so far.
