Is it just me ?

I just upgraded both my P3A to latest firmware 1.7.0060 and my android tablet (Samsung Tab 8.4) to DJI Go to 2.7.0
Besides the fact that the revamped menus are now smaller (they don't use the full size of the screen but a 4/3 zone on the right side of it) there is something much more annoying :

The Camera View main screen only displays 4/3 images, whatever the picture ratio you choose (for photos: 4/3 or 16/9).
And the video Camera View is also displayed in 4/3: you can't see the left and right parts of the frame! When in 16/9 the 4/3 "window" displays only the slightly magnified zone of the real 16/9 FOV of the camera.

WTF???

I just finished downloading 2.7.0 and also have this problem. I NEED a 16:9 view. Or I will have to downgrade to 2.4.3..

Did the upgrade and now that the Phantom connects to my ipad, the screen freezes.  You have to keep opening and closing the app. Also can't respond to the forum on my iad because it will not log me in. I have erased everything off my ipad air and started over, same issue. I am sending this response from my Android

Go into camera settings (MENU) and select image size 16:9...now your view will be 16:9

@scarper:
Whatever ratio you choose, the main camera view always display a 4/3 view. Be it in Photo mode where you can opt fot 4/3 or 16/9, or in Video mode where Camera View displays a 4/3 box and the center part of the video within.

The app does take pictures and films according to the ratio ration, though. But the main display remains 4/3.

EDIT: We've had a direct contact with DJI's R&D, they've seen the problem. A fix should be released within 2 days (said they!).

Can any of you with this problem verify this response from @scarper "Go into camera settings (MENU ...

This method does not work. It automatically stays in 4:3. DJI better have an update to this soon..

Why does anyone need 16:9?
Why would you have the camera trim off the top and bottom of the image rather than getting as much as possible and deciding where to crop for yourself?

Wow, what a bunch of whiners. My update worked fine and like labroides said, nobody uses 16:9, but some people just like to argue. SMH
