after the latest firmware, camera doesn't works. All screen is black.
Please help.
Phantom 3 Professional Firmware v1.7.0060

My DJI Go App recognises my P3P as a Phantom 4, so I can't use it.

I'm on the latest version 1.7.0060, and RC is also up to date. I switched it on for a flight as I always do, and even when I selected Phantom 3 Professional, it became Phantom 4 automatically upon turning the aircraft ON. Camera mode shows Aircraft Disconnected in red.

I downgraded to 1.6 on the aircraft but problem is still there.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app on my iPad mini, and still not working.

Any other users with this same issue, please let me know what you did to troubleshoot this. Thank you very much,

I clicked "go" ...my question is, how to update it? Via app or SD card?

Bought my P3A two months ago and the firmware was updated in shop (V01.06.0040). Now I get the message to update to the latest version but, reading about all the different problems people have, I am worried (if not scared) to follow this suicide mission. Why can't DJI do what, for example, cellphone companies do to give you the option to update (upgrade) your fw - it's your choice if you want to or not. If you are happy with your current fw, leave it. Don't fix it if it is not broken! I'm also a newbie and don't want to end up with a $1600 paper weight (=ZAR20000.00 - that is the price tag in South Africa because ot the current exchange rate).

As I wrote earlier the test flight went well.

I will try another run tomorrow if weather is okey.

Aircraft 1.4.6.0+
Dont know where to check the remote controller version.

If your RC version is below v1.3 DO NOT FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS WHEN UPGRADING THE RC If your RC version is v1.3 or higher upgrade your RC through the GO app only.

You don't have to update. You can keep the firmware you are using now.

I can also confirm the vibration issue. Just upgraded the firmware and it keeps vibrating like crazy while hovering. I preformed an IMU recalibration, but the problem prissiest. What the hell happened? I don't dare to fly it like I normally do, only a few meters of the ground.  I'm kind of disappointed. Please fix this DJI. I'm hoping that I don't have downgrade the firmware to fix the issue...

p.s It's not a "unbalanced props" issue!

  I assume you are flying the Phantom Advance or Pro Correct ?  The RC Transmitter should be 1.5.80.  Look on the  general settings "About "  and confirm this.  The DJI go App will tell you if you need the update.

Same here. Signal bounces between 'good' and 'poor'. I don't believe it did that prior to the firmware update...

yes, I'm flying Phantom3 ADV. I had to restart my app, when I did it said update required. Thank you! How do I get to the Follow me, Point of interest( POI), and Waypoints. I could not find it on the new Go app? Thank you for your help.

  First you must enable "Mult Flight mode" in the DJI go app under MC (aircraft) settings.  Then it is kind of silly but you must be in the air to acces these settings.  Get in a Hover about 40 feet high (At least) and out a bout 100 feet in front of you, then flip the toggle from GPS mode"P"  down to "F" mode.  Here you will have access to POI, Way-points, Follow Me .  Now follow me can only be used if you have active gps on your device.  And Way-points must be flown first and then recorded,  this can be used for future use.  To close out of "F" mode simply toggle back to "P"  it just takes some time using these settings.  You can not access them unless you are in the air "DUMB".  They say they will change it in the future.

If the Aircrafat is  right next to Trasmitter   the signal is getting"SWAMPED", keep them a few feet apart and should be OK.

Hello All

I turned on my Bird today to find that there was a Firmware Update.  I started that update and at 75% complete I lost power ... Battery should of been charged!  I turned everything off and charged the battery and the transmitter.  I went back into the dji Go app , turned on the transmitter & bird !  Now the Bird is doing a repeatedly BEEP, BEEP, BEEP it jus keeps going  Loud ..  No lights come on !  The tablet still works as I have the video feed, GPS location, Gimbal works but the Bird with not arm.  I figured I would reload the Update but now that line reads "No Firmware Update" ... and the Bird is still beeping!

I contacted (via Email)) dji but today is Saturday and they are not open.  Has anyone else had this problem?  I there a way to fix it?  I put a volt meter on the battery and it has full charge.

If someone is willing to help I will make a video and post it to YouTube if needed!

The last weeks I was reading a lot of articles about the firmware update issues. Today I gave it a go. I went from firmware v1.4 to 1.7 with my p3A.
I did this in 2 steps:  
1) form 1.4 to 1.6      (because of the battery update in 1.6)
2) 1.6 -> 1.7.60
The RC went from 1.5.7 ->  1.5.80 earlier today, also without problems.
Updates went without any problems up till now.
Tomorrow when the battery is full and ice-cold I will do the calibrations of IMU, gimbal, remote controller and the compass.
Happy with this so far.

one other issue I have is that when you go to about when it does connect all I get is the version 1. ...

  Similar situation here....I do see the the app version (version 2.7.1) the aircraft (version 1.4.60+) , which is not the 1.6.40+ I've seen elsewhere in this thread,  and the flight controller serial number.  I did the update on my Standard the other day with success, according the the log.  Another thing I've noticed since the app update is that I cannot find where to calibrate the compass.  This used to come up immediately.

What am i missing here?

Hello All

Try to reload the firmware regardless of what the Go app says using this method:

• Turn off the RC and Go App.
• Download the 1.7.x zip from the DJI site:
  http://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/phantom_3/P3X_FW_V01.07.0060.zip
• Unzip and extract the BIN file from the ZIP
• But the BIN file on an SD card that has plenty of free space afterwards
• With a fully charged battery, turn on the bird
• Let it beep for at least 30 minutes. For this step, you can put the bird in the basement or a closet to reduce the annoying beeps.
• After that long period, turn it off and check the .TXT file on the SD card. Scroll to the bottom to see if you have a Success message. Turn the craft back on to be sure it no longer beeps.
  

This is what I did when I stopped the firmware process before it was complete and it worked.

This is what I am doing, except there is no beeping. I turned it on with the .bin file on the SD.  It goes through its little boot up, and then the camera update starts (flashing green/red) and then turns green. All this time, the front arms flashing white (possibly because not connected to controller, I'll have to look into that). I let it run for about 45 minutes, shut it off and looked for a txt file, but the only one there was from the last successful update. Nothing from today. I'm trying it a second time now, and will let it run until the battery is running out unless I hear the finish beeps. I only saw that it would beep at the end, not throughout the process though. Thoughts?

I updated my P3A  and iPad  Air 2 with the latest firmware and software and now having my video recordings are stopping randomly. I hear the same sound as when you start or stop the video on my iPad.  

Yesterday on battery one, the first flight after the updates the video stopped three times. Battery two and three had no issue. Battery four had the same issue as battery one but only stopped once. I recharged all batteries and tested battery one again with no issues. Today I had random stops on the first two batteries of the day (not sure which ones they were compared to yesterday).

Today's videos stopped after 12:27 on the first battery and after 1:40 on the second battery.

I see no other issues before the recordings randomly stop. The videos on the SD are in separate files as if they were stopped intentionally.  

Has anybody else experience this or know a solution to fix it?

Hello, hoping someone can advise what I did wrong or if there is aprobelm with the firmware,
    followed the usualy firmware thought I did eberything right but when I put the sd card in the drone it does the normal start up and never goes into the update process with the ddd-ddd etc. I left it running for 30 minutes and nothing.
Tried deleteing it off the card then reinstalling it and same results.
   never had this happen before always had succes on firmware updates.
could it be a corruped card now even though I did nothing to it.
one note is my pc recently updated to Windows 10 and I get  popup when I put the sd card in that says -

X an error is prventing photo or video from being displayed error code O x8000000A

any help would be greatly appreciated !

No thoughts from me, if it's not beeping. At this point, you may have to wait for DJI to get back in the office on Monday and show them the contents of your text file.

Same experience but no solution.

P3P. Two flights. Two batteries.  16 and 14 minutes each.

It's a test flight after the update to the latest FWs and GO App so I tried to record the video of the whole flight but I ended up with 2 videos for each flight instead.

Thanks. I was going to format the SD card but wanted to wait for feedback from this group in case I needed some file from the SD.

I did clear the video cache and a following battery did not have an issue but of course that is only one battery. If the issue does occur again I will format the SD card.

Oh one more thing the last video this occurred on the file was corrupt.

Hi, I just checked my video files. Once the video size reaches 3.91 GB, it is saved to the micro SD card but the camera continuous to record using a new file. My "issue" has nothing to do with the new FW or formatting of the SD card in the Phantom and might be totally unrelated to your problem.

I formatted my SD and flew using all batteries twice ( I have 4 batteries) and have not seen the issue with my recordings stopping randomly.

As normal the files do break up after 4 GB but continue to record.

I did get a request for another  firmware upgrade needed by the RC which was strange because I already updated and confirmed it was upgraded days ago.
