I'm sorry you are having an issue.

Your update went fine.
have you relinked the WiFi?And you have RC control right?
RC control is done through 5.8 and the video feed is 2.4 WiFi.
Do you get all the features on the app, telemetry, can you take photos and record video. If so then you are cinnected through the 2.4 WiFi.
Possibly your camera settings are off and givng you a black screen (exposure)

done all that numerous times, I have since gone back to the previous version of the go app and everything is fine.  it looks like the updated app is having issues more with the standard then anything else. I also have the litchi app and it works fine.

I sent mine back for the RC Signal lost issue and have not touched the firmware on the new one.  Today with the 2.7 app I'm starting to have the RC Signal lost issue again.  My DJI experience so far has been disappointing.

P3S. Had a slight problem getting the upgrade done, but it finally went through.
No problems flying.
I had no issues before the upgrade and I have no issues now, so I can't tell you if it
does anything better for some people who are looking for an upgrade to the distance thing.

It took a while yesterday before the update notice appeared on my screen but it finally did.  All when smooth.  I went flying today with no issues.  P3S

Spent the day upgrading and checking at home small test flight. Went to the field and there was another update popped up for the RC so had to use 4G on my iPhone to dl and update the RC. Still no issues. Install went great and p3 flew really well. I really pushed it too. Fast flight fast descent from 120m flying to max visibility of drone and back no issues. Really happy.

Similar flight experience following my own update (I also received the second RC  update).  Flight was excellent apart from the previously noted map zooming problem with the  IOS 2.7.1 DJI Go app update (it was fine with 2.7.0).

My standard's live feed is so bad it is now unusable. Is there a way to go back to the preveous firmware on the standard

My p3standard is now bad with thevideo feed continually stopping which means no hope of filming prperly. Is there a way to go to the previous firmware on the standard or at least re installing the latest?

Does it fix anything?  Is there a point to the "upgrade"?

Negative. My 2 P3Ps are working flawlessly after the update. Never had any trouble with either of them. Never crashed, always update, always calibrate after updates. That's my recipe to keep them working properly.

Mine all updated perfectly. Only annoyance was having to upgrade the RC again on the field as a newer version popped up after all the upgrading at home. Took no time and my p3 flew great.

No issues after the latest update.

Ah man, I want that upgrade!

Just talked to Jackson from dji. He advised me our video problems have nothing to do with the firmware update and dji have no knwledge of any problems with the firmware update.  I told him the complaints were on their forum so assume these forums are not looked at. He says everyone with the video problem will have to send their phantom in for repair.

I updated my P3A. No issue with the process.
However, after I did IMU calibration, which I always do after firmware update, the gimbal/camera went nuts. It spun all over the place and stuck at an odd angle. Ok, I thought, no problem, I need to do a gimbal calibration. That didn't fix it. I re-did IMU and Gimbal calibrations (twice) - no good - even went to an open field to do a compass calibration for good measures. Camera still pointed at an odd angle, and now I got a message about gimbal motor overheating. That's it... I spent more than 2 hours. Time to walk away. I shut off the drone and left everything in the garage.
Next day, I disassembled the yaw motor/PCB and saw that the yaw motor shaft was out of alignment. Fixed it. Took all of 15 minutes.
The P3A flies beautifully now. Am a happy camper.

I did find the following in the log this morning, which had yesterday's date (the date I got the surprise update attempt). It is a firmware attempt and abort because the version is the same. So it seems, Tim / all-DJI, that there is more than a very slight nuisance to leaving the firmware BIN on the SD card when it is no longer required. Seeing 'Upgrading craft" on the RC can give the user some confidence issues.

Hello, I have not live video anymore, since last up date on my Samsung tab 3. On my Samsung 6 edge it s ok. I can give you more info (android version etc. ) later.

I ve performed the remote control firmware upgrade from Dji go , because it was not working from sd card direct connected on remote control usb port.

I updated the firmware on my fairly new P3P yesterday. I was a bit apprehensive as i've never done anything to the P3P except fly it. I read the manual, watched a good You Tube video on the process and jumped in. I updated the RC first using WiFi, and then did the drone and 3 extra batteries with an empty SD card that I'd formatted in the drone. Luckily, it all worked perfectly and no user settings were lost. Take your time, read all the directions completely before beginning and follow the procedure.

Live feed does not work any more.  Upgrade on aircraft 1.7.60 completed.    Remote controller refuses to upgrade (it is on 1.5.80). It says no firmware upgrade required (tried it anyway).  Everything worked perfectly before the upgrade.  Help !  Drone flies ok but no live feed.  

HI, my update worked fine, but there is one thing Iam missing - I cant change my homepoint anymore, have someone solved it? Was walking around today, and if something would have went wrong, I had to run about 1km back :-)

Just upgraded mine. Yes, on the ground there is a small tremor, but when in air - it is hovering perfectly, no any vibration. Gains settings were preserved. Completed charging remote, and updated remote, no issues so far.

More info please if you got a solution to this.  I am also using a Samsung Tab3 (T310).  Following your note I upgraded Android to version 4.4.2 but video live feed still not working.
