I don't have the Standard version and I downloaded the firmware file from P3 Advanced downloads section

I know it does not make sense, it is just how it is.  To me each aircraft and system should have Unique FW numbers, unfortunately they dont.

Always triple  check the Download page to confirm it is correct.
You are fine , as long as it came from the Advanced page and that is what you own.

I think you are correct, It really can confuse pilots.  I always look at the  very bottom of the hidden file , that is the most recent .

Thanks Donnie. It's enough for me to confirm that P3 Advanced firmware file name starts with P3S_...

Before updating anything  (IF  you have a NEW System) , be sure to register with DJI on the Go App First.  If you fail to do so , it can cause the motors not to start.  So register first, this will also make sure you have proper internet connection with DJI Servers.

When you are starting the system, after you install the GO App, it should ask  for e Mail address  etc.  If you are already registered .


You will do the second P3P the same as the first.  Since the GO APP is already registered it may not even ask you .

When I went from the P3P to the Inspire, it think it just asked to confirm my e mail.  The bottom line is do not start doing updates until you have gone through the basics of your system.  I always suggest to fly with what you are given ( firmware )  to make sure everything works and then do any updates.

And yes I would delete the old Go App  and start with fresh Install, this way your settings cant get mixed up . ( dont think they would but I would just start fresh )



****The reason I  posted that is because new pilots who had old DJI  systems started updating before they registered and it screws up the system preventiing motors from starting.     So I always advise to start from the very beginning , just like the original system and to even test fly with what version is given.  This way you wont get the dreaeded lock out.

Also check for success on the SD card , check the log.

(Be sure to read the whole tips page   ) ( Post number one at the least, tone changes are towards the middle )

I own a Phantom 4 , the RC is at V1.6. Is the update you mention specific to the P3 range, or perhaps a typo ?

i am using litchi with samsung TabA and it was working fine until i upgraded the firmware for my controller... now i am unable to use the camera in waypoints mode. is android fussy cuz my camera will work with my iphone when using DJI go? have you any experience with android tablets and litchi? do i have to upgrade my tablet as well when i upgrade my inspire firmware?

I'm Sorry , that is not my specialty, Apple systems and Go apps for me............

I can tell you this much , never run the Go app and the Litchi at the Same time. This can cause a crash

Sorry I just saw this , My tips dont include the P4.  BUT I think I am going to buy a P4 Pro  and will add a tips page for that when the time comes...... I am taking donations to those who wish to help me ......LOL
