The Raw version of the inspire is now available in the DJI store and is shipping in 1-3 days. Odd there was no announcement. And doubley odd that there is no regular X5R to buy.
It says it comes with the card reader though, so thats good.

Hopefully the X5R will ship soon. Cant wait. I hope the X5R comes with a SSD reader also, I would imagine it will.

Tim - why is the Raw only available in North America initially? Don't other markets matter to DJI?

I have ordered Inspire with X5R (dual remote) from local store. Is the SSD included in the package or do I have to spend 1500$ for that?? It would be very misleading that I pay 7059 € for the 4K raw drone but I can't shoot raw unless I pay 1500 $ more to get SSD..

Exciting news! When will the Inspire 1 RAW with X5R be available at local retailers like B&H now that it is shipping from DJI? I pre-ordered mine from B&H and it said expected ship date March 2016 and a few weeks ago that date disappeared and now they are telling me that they do not know from DJI when it will be shipping so I still have no idea when I will get my order.

1 x SSD is included !! Look for "In the box" of Inspire RAW.

Yeah all the X5Rs and Inspire RAWs appear to come with an SSD and recorder.

If you do the calculations though the regular X5 ($2199) plus one of these SSDs ($1500) comes to almost the price of the an X5R ($3599). So does this mean the raw recording hardware doesn't cost anything?

I'll certainly be putting that money towards many other things before a second SSD.

SSD cards like this are very expensive. We have used the Sony SxS cards in our XDcams and have paid $800.00 for a 64 gig cards

The "In the box" info shows a USB 3.0 cable coming with the Inspire 1 RAW so I'm assuming the dock that also comes with it will use USB 3.0. Thunderbolt would be awesome!

It looks like based on the pin-out of the SSD drive it uses a uSATA connector so you could theoretically get a uSATA to SATA adapter and then plug the SSD into a thunderbolt SATA dock. I'm hoping this will work and will try it as soon as my Inspire 1 RAW arrives.

For 6k to get the Inspire, RAW camera, and 2 remotes, I think it's a pretty sweet deal.

Hi tucci, I don't know why but seems that SSD Card is not included in the Box for the Inspire 1 Raw sold by B&H NY (and no mention about the SSD Reader too): maybe it would be better asking them what exactly is in the Box. I hope to be wrong!

Forsure.  It is the cheapest option right now for shooting 4K RAW video in the sky.  This will totally change larger end productions.

Currently I'm saving up for a X5R, I can't wait to start grading the footage.

Yea, B&H does not know what they are talking about. You can't put a normal SSD in the X5r. Take what they have on their site with a grain of salt. DJI says the SSD comes with it, I would believe them before B&H

I know from DJI the in the box shows the SSD. If BH Photo doesn't include one, I'd pay $1,500 less.

For your information, here in Switzerland some dealer is selling (not yet in stock) the 5XR with SSD only (without Inspire) at USD 4'200.-- and the Inspire RAW with SSD and SSD Reader (as describet at DJI Store) at about USD 7'000.-- (USD 1'000.- more than in USA and at DJI Store).

Remember that here DJI Store is available only in EURO and for an example: at DJI Store the Inspire Pro cost USD 3'899.-- and the same Inspire Pro always at DJI Store here for Switzerland (and the rest of Europe) is sold for EURO 4'399.-- ! ?  Of course on the financial market USD 3'899.- corrispond to EURO 3'460.-- !! (and voilà, the difference is about USD 1'000.--).... and this is only one example.

Yeah I noticed that. I'm assuming that since they don't even know it requires a special SSD that they didn't receive the latest In the Box info from DJI. Up until last week DJI didn't provide any information on what is included with the Inspire 1 RAW so B&H probably just put what they know for sure comes with it. Some with all the other major US dealers for DJI. No one has posted the latest info.

B&H keeps telling me they have no info on ship times and DJI hasn't given them that info. yet so I'm hoping DJI gives it to them soon seeing as that the Inspire 1 RAW just started shipping direct from DJI.

Would be really strange if the X5R didn't come with an SSD.
