Just bought a Phantom 2 V2 with the upgraded radio control, by default set to mode 2 (throttle on the left)
This new radio has an useful left stick lock when used in mode 2, but because I changed to Mode 1 via software I wish to know how to eliminate this lock and if it is possible to add this feature to the right stick

Yes you can remove this lock and place it on the right hand stick.  You will have to carefully remove the 4 small screws on the back of your transmitter and carefully open the shell.  There is 2 wires that connect both halves.  You will have to disconnect them and have them marked to where they are plugged into the right plug.  On the left throttle, you will see a small metal clip on the inside of the left hand throttle attached by 2 screws.  You will have to remove the metal strip, and if you want that to be on the right hand stick, you will see the same place of attachment.  After that, reconnect the wires in correct place, put the shell together and test in mode 1.  Also, be careful when disconnecting the shell halves.  The antenna will have to be removed from the circular clamp.
