My wookong drift to the right side. I noticed it when i start always drift to the right side. Also wenn i fly forward it slightly drift to the right side (Atti Mode).

it is exactly the same problem i had some years ago with my NAZA-M Controller. i tried a lot of things but the only solution was the IMU Calibration with Assistant Software. But there are no IMU calibration Tool for the 1000$ Controller Wookong. But there is a calibration available for the cheaper controllers : Naza M, V2.
Whats the reason of this?

the main problem is the Wookong is connected with my Zenmuse GH4. So wookong is sending wrong data to zenmuse. So because IMU thinks its slightly roted to the left gimbal is slightly roted to the right after startup. This is the reason why its not level after start. I am very sure the solution would be Recalibrate the Wookong IMU.
But actually there is no Wookong IMU calibration availiable ? If its not necessary why does the A2 controller have a IMU calibration?
I think it would be a great advantage and need to be able to recalibrate the wookong IMU!

Yes, Thete is no IMU Calibration button in the assistant. So  you can't calibration the IMU yourself like Naza M.
Please contact your dealer as the first option for any repair issue.
Otherwise, or DJI.com is your dealer, please kindly contact the nearest support center, support center info. See below:

Hi ! Thank you! I will do that! But would it not be great to have this IMU calibration also for Wookong Controllers? i don't want to send the controller every year to dji for recalibration!?

That would be outstanding! you may don't need a new firmwire. not a big thing. Just a modified assistant software with imu calibration option .
So maybe very fast to do  this.
That would be a great benefit for all wookong users out there specially these using zenmuse and needing a accurate imu calibration.  thanks!

Yes you are right, sorry i was looking at the A2 assistant, it seems strange that you can do this in the Assistant for the Naza and the A2 but not the wookong.  Sorry for any confusion, i know how frustrating it can be fixing a fault, i am going through one at the moment with a light bridge which is really being a pain

@ DJI Steve

Could you ask already the R&D Department? Are they planning an update?

UPDATE: As i thougt it was the calibration of the IMU.
Because there were no IMU calibration available for wookong i had to replace the IMU. My Shop sent me an replacement IMU and the horizon at the zenmuse is perfect now with new IMU after start-up. :-)

I would be easier to just make a IMU calibration instead of sending in the IMU!

Hi!

I build all the drones for our media company here in finland and I am having the exact same problem! I build a large X8 with U7 tiger motors that have 18" props. Everything is smooth, but wookong drifts to the right in "atti" mode. It also try's to drift in  "gps atti", but gps mode is fighting against it and trying to level the drone. We are planning to make big budget work with these drones and carry cinema cameras on them. Wookong REALLY NEEDS to have the imu calibration option in the assistant software!!!!

PLEASE MAKE THE SOFTWARE UPDATE SOON! I'm not feeling good about stripping my FC off the drone and sending it back to china!

We have a Wookong that has a lot of drift after yawing - even in GPS mode.  It seems to me it would relate to the calibration of the IMU.  We do not have this problem on other Wookong installs.  We have v2 IMUs on everything.  Has anyone found a way to re-calibrate the IMU or do they need to be sent in?

Hello Everyone:

I have the same situation with my Wookong, it is drifting to the right side, and it turns inestable, is difficult to control it, this behavior start to happen suddenly after several flights, I don´t know if could be something about a firmware update, because before was working fine.

Any comments from DJI?   I'm in Colombia and I bought the wookonong locally.

Thank You for your comments and any advice.
