I can't see anyone else mentioning it, but the SRT files aren't being written to the SD card since I upgraded today. Upgrade went flawlessly, although I was cautious after a previous experience.

I don't see a menu item that switches the SRT on/off, any suggestions greatfully received.

Menu / settings (wrench) / video caption = subtitles generated or not.

Thanks for that. Unless it is a new menu item, the upgrade must have caused it to change.

With an upgrade you always should check ALL your settings as they are reset to default and the 'default' of version 1.x is not necessarily the 'default' of version 1.y

Yes Frank and isn't that just so bloody stupid? Its sad that techies forget that software is there to support the user and not the techie.
