Filmed it 2.7k 30fps, manual camera settings, used ND 8 filter, 1/60, 100 iso, Lowered the gains (20) and brake sensitivity.

The digital zoom can only be used in 720, 1080, and 2.7k. Thanks!!

Nice job and the zoom appears to work very well.  I'm surprised for a change.

Thanks! Thought the song would fit the video, figured the Digital Zoom feature, would be a gimmick and cheesy...boy..,I was wrong...

Isn't digital zoom the same as recording in 4K and rescaling when downconverting? Leaving it until post production gives more choice later on...

Thanks for sharing the results, I did some testing of my own but it wasn't nearly as good as your examples.  Great  music, I got a kick out of it .

@JerryLaurence Digitsl zoom  can only be used with 720,1080, and 2.7k. I'm assuming if you did it in 4K and scaled in post the results would probably be better. I'm sure someone could chime in with the facts....

Any reason why the digital zoom is not available for still photos?

I do lots of close-ups for inspection purposes and the zoom is a wish come true, but then I realized it only works in video.

When testing the zoom feature earlier today, I found the Inspire drifts a lot, especially up and down. Will be very difficult if not near impossible, to monitor a lengthy process close up, using the video...

Yes I did a full calibration after the latest firmware update - RC, compass, IMU (1,0,1500) the lot...
Cross checked the compass position on the overlay with Garmin BaseCamp and UTM Coordinate Converter.

Today I just did the App update and did the test...
The attached video gives you an idea of the drifting.

Your feedback would be appreciated.

With the camera zoomed in the movements are going to look exaggerated.
Can you go into a hover and film with your cell phone or a camera. If it's much more then the specs, then your aircraft may need to come in for repair.

Hovering accuracy in GPS mode.
Vertical: 0.5 m
Horizontal: 2.5 m

Ken, Its a great feature, but instead of a pinch to Zoom In and Out, Id really like to see this improved by using the C1 or C2 button to select the Zooming feature, and then use the Gimbal Wheel on the Remote to smoothly Zoom In and Out which the smoothness is controlled by the Gimbal Wheels settings in the app for the speed of Fast to Slow.. Its would make this Much more usable in Flight while Filming a Scene.. That truly would make this much more Seamless..........

Sorry for the delay.
Just did not have the time to rework the video before uploading.

The video is totally unedited and scaled from 1080P to 480 to save on file size.
I only repositioned the aircraft once, somewhere around 3 minutes in, that is all.

Would love to hear your opinion.
