I would like to mark a field where I will be flying.  It is outlined with trees and I would like to ensure that I don't fly into the trees.  The area is irregular, so I can't just use the maximum flight distance.  The best would be able to geofence the area, but lacking that, what is the best way to do it?

I am going out to the field today and see if I can have it draw the area out like it would if it was flying.  I don't think I can do that unless the Phantom 3P is actually in the air.  I am open to suggestions.

Well, I went out to see if I could draw a border with the Phantom on in my car.  I don't see a way to do it.  I could do a follow me around the border, but that could take more than one battery to accomplish, and although I could use the exercise, I would like to see another approach.

Just fly hi enough to avoid any tree.

There is no function in the DJI software to do this.

Thanks for the info.  It looks like a good possibility fro my concern.  I am going to try it
