Sick as a chip today...managed to update inspire 1 after help from a nephew but controller wont connect to inspire anymore after updating????
tried alsorts, usb micro sd direct from inspire camera please help i am slowely going mad!!!

Thanks Tim but I tried that last night, when I click on linking on the dji go app it says check frequency?? or something also it does not give me a choice to pick master? has the update on the controller failed? I tried to redo that last night also and it does not give me the need to upgrade option? I am at a loss

Roll back to the previous update?  DJI lets  you go back 2 previous versions I believe, and then try to go forward from there if that works for you.  It's worked for me in the past on other platforms.Good luck.

   Make sure you have updated the Transmitter as well,  have you already done this? You cant have the Aircraft Updated with out the Transmitter being updated.  Check this first.

Can you take a screenshot of your firmware please: Or just confirm if it looks EXACTLY like this or just note the diffferences, be sure to tun Aircraft on and of course go app and RC.

     Also I would not "Rollback just yet"  just so you know you rollback the same way You updated.  you just place the  Firmware  on the SD card from your previous  FW version.  If you loaded 1.7 with success and you were previously at 1.6... You would simply load 1.6 on the SD card and reload.  Dont do that just yet until we confirm what FW you have loaded on everything first.  Therfore  we need the info on the "About " page of the Go APP.

What was the Last  successful FW you had loaded by the way? before attempting 1.7   Was it 1.6 or something lower ?  Did you skip any ?
I need to go to work , but I will get back to you when I can,  also other members will be able to follow the flow of Info and offer suggestions as well

This is my problem...my controller wont connect to the craft so i cannot see that info? also i have tried to reset my controller using the four button method and it wont reset?

Yep just downgraded the inspire and one controller came on asking to update, i did on the app it failed,
upgraded inspire again and no controllers work ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I think you just have to get it to link.  Let me see if I can find how to do manual link , Have you tried this yet?  Not through the RC Link?

Patrick,  I helped a gent the other day with similar problem.  Here is what you do go to this link and down at the end  the Poster is very happy because he downloaded this file to his remote with a thumb drive that he loaded with this file  c1 fw v 01.05.0080.  The file is on the page I am goiing to link for you.  simply download the file to a thumb drive and install on your transmitter.  It fixed his, it should help yours.
try it.  Read it and  download the file LINK from post #10 and download this bin file to your transmitter only.

Ok another forum member who has your same system just posted  this and it fixed his 2 RC transmitters.  Give it a go Please Patrick.......... Make sure you are connected to the RC with a cable to the i-pad or whatever.   here is the whole post: Might need extra set of hands also                ***My additons are bold black

Make sure that everything is switched off except the phone ( whatever device has go app ) but make sure that the Go App is not running on the background

Make sure the the Go App is the default app that will always start when the transmitter is switched on ( Just make sure you can get to it quickly, as I dont understand that part)

Press C1, C2, record and the wheel on the right side of thetransmitter  and then turn ON the transmitter  and hold the buttons in until the app starts up.

Open the aircraft Status and click on the upgrade link.

The transmitter will disconnect from the device, thats what I thought, but if you just leave the transmitter on, it starts to update very very slowly.

The upgrade then runs for about 40 min and at the end the green light comes on.


I have done this with both the controllers and they are now working.
I have noticed the following:
If I plug my device into the controller and switch it on nothing happens. I have to switch the controller on first and then plug the device in. You can ask your developers to check the initial state for the USB port of the controller when you switch it on, I think they have slipped up on setting the initial state to active.

   You could just download the BIN file of firmware 1.3  on the Inspire downloads page. Then use a thumb drive to load that to your transmitters, then upgrade to 1.5. 80

I asked one of the other forum members and they were nice enough to write this down , maybe follow  step by step ( His transmitter was just like yours )- Donnie
Follow these steps, please read them carefully.

Step 1:
Make sure that everything is switched off except the phone and make sure that the Go App is not running in the background

Step 2:
Make sure the the Go App is the default app that will always start when the controller is switched on. (Read at the explanation above)

Step 3:
Press C1, C2, record and the wheel on the right side of the controller and then turn ON the controller and hold the buttons in until the Go App starts up. You can now let go of the buttons.
!! THIS STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT !!

Step 4:
Open the Aircraft Status in the Go App. You will see that the app will tell you that you need to upgrade the firmware. Open the upgrade area and click on the upgrade link.

Step 5:
The controller will disconnect from the device but will connect again if you just leave the controller on and the Go App open in the same screen in Step 4, the upgrade will start to update very very slowly.

Step 6:
The upgrade then runs for about 40 min and at the end the green light comes on.

It is very important that you follow these steps  and not close the Go App or switch your controller off until you get to the end of step 6.

!! You must have patience and just wait !!

I hope that this will help. I had to do this with two controllers that had the same problem and it worked for both of them. It took me about a day to get the steps 100% after DJI said that the controller is faulty and I need to return it for repair.   How stupid do they think we are, what is the chance of two controllers going faulty on the same day in a span of one hour and this after I did an update that they said I needed to do......

I have some good news...i downgraded inspire then upgraded again, then on app where it says no connection or disconnected i clicked there and it said update required! cont 1 took around 15 mins con 2 about 3.,
i can connect using con 1 so that will do for me! Thanks to all that helped on here very much appreciated!

Did you JUST buy this  where you could return it without to much drama ?  If so that might be an option as well.

****Just so you know the log File shows success with the aircraft loaded with 1.7.  It is the Transmitter that did not get a proper firmware upload ( I am sure you figured this out )
