I'm going to try something this weekend but wanted to check here first.

I am going to plot a fairly low altitude route around my neighborhood using waypoints. There are a few trees so their might be an obstacle or two in the path.

Will the p4 dodge obstacles when in waypoint mode? Has anyone tried this?
