I know many of you have pondered the issue of camera/lens balance and have tried, like myself, to find a way to solve the problem.  It is a major issue if your concerned about assuring that you DO NOT damage the delicate servo motors that position your camera where you want it to point and act the way you want it to perform.  These small servo motors cannot accomplish all that is asked of them while flying/filming AND try and control a grossly out-of-balance camera/lens combination.  I use several different lenses (5), variable ND filters, lens hoods (occasionaly) and the issue of balance is there at every step of the way.  I searched long and hard to find a commercial solution to the problem but to no avail.  I recently developed a solution for myself and now sell it on eBay!  Please do not construe this post as an attempt to exagerate a problem just so I can sell you a cure.  Believe me, the price of my solution is so unprofitable you would have to sell 500 to make your car payment!  I did this to help people and based on the positive feedback I am getting, it's doing exactly as intended.

(Highlight and COPY then paste in your browser's window and it will connect you to eBay OR, search on eBay for: Zenmuse X5 Camera / Lens Balancing Kit and it will direct you to the listing!

Hope it helps some of you with the problem of lens balancing.  It solved my problem in short order!

Balance is crucial. I had problems with serious gimbal vibration. See: http://forum.dji.com/thread-46204-1-1.html

Its only a quick fix, but I have used blobs of blue tack on the camera to balance up if only needing a certain lens on for a quick shot to a test on my heavy lift gear.
