Wow! Interesting! So it's called a drone dance? I only understand after watching a DJI video.. I always assumed that the drone needs to be in same position, so I rotated it in my hands carefully not to drop the damned thing! I did have my props on, but that was just because I did not take them off. Now that's I've seen the videos, i think I'll just dance with it, next time it needs calibration!!!
BTW, I think you need to edit your post and see if it will allow you to make results visible to people...

Yes, we'd done a full compass dance with first time calibration accepted immediately b ...

I have over 450 miles of flight on one p3p with only 2 compass calibrations. I have traveled from initial location where I had calibrated the compass, in a mountainous region, down to Florida, without recalibrating the compass. I've done all the fw updates after which I did not do compass calibrations. I check the sensor values before each flight and manually check the compass heading though.
IMO, If compass calibration is  not done correctly it will be more harmful than not doing one. So, I basically don't dance!!!. Good luck

I do it without props, basically cause it's simpler if you turn with the drone attached to your chest
