Does anyone have any sample still images from the Inspire? I'm unsure if I'm going to but this or the S900 as I primarily shoot still images.

The stills from the GoPro aren't quite up to the standard that I need.

Hi, What cameras you want to compare it with? Gh4, nex 7? In both cases forget the i1's camera will produce better quality pictures. It's more like Gopro hero 4 level. Edit: i will try to compare nex5 with i1 camera during weekend.

If you have a Phantom Vision 2plus look into the Dronexpert Quick Release for the Sony RX 100 III.

The camera is great for video but not for stills - we have to wait until dji releases a new camera (hopefully with the sony rx100 sensor/optics)

The camera is fine for stills considering the sensor size.

They are a little on the soft side and there are slight red/green chromatic aberrations (which are easily removed) in high contrast environments, but the image quality is otherwise good, very limited barrel distortion.

It isn't going to compete with the likes of a GH4, but it is light years ahead of the GoPro Hero3+ Black.

Yep. The NEX7 and GH4 will outperform the Inspire's camera at every level.

I can't speak for the ND filter or what camera settings were used as I didn't take this picture, but according to the meta info it was taken on ISO 100 at 1150th Shutter Speed.

This was a DNG RAW given to me by Lloyd at Drone Promotions, the only changes I made was to the white balance, and minor colour tweaks.

No sharpening or noise reduction was applied.

Its my opinion of course, but I'd say that the quality is better than the P2V+, especially when you consider the lack of a fisheye effect, which gives you much more usable image real estate.

It certainly isn't as good as a GH4, but the sensor is tiny by comparison.

I really think Inspire stills could be lower quality than even the iPhone 6, see sample below

That is very good for a phone (better than my HTC by a long way), but not comparable to the Inspire camera.

It is better than my GoPro though.

Some purplefringing and on the soft side, with no sharpness at all

Nice shot. that should answer the question.

Video is great, but image quality is poor, lots of noise. If you plan to shoot video, inspire is great, photo? Not so much...

Define not so much. Skip pixel peeping since it means nothing.

A good test would be to print one out at 8x10 and see if it's enough for one's purpose.

And to be fair.... it won't be that much better than a DNG from an Xperia X3
