I could not find a thread on this. The Vision assistant says the Compass(Raw) MOD value should be -500 to + 500 but then also mentions a value of 2250. I get a value of about +1000 when I calibrate mine. Is +1000 acceptable?

OK, yes but if you want to try for a better (lower) value.  First, try an advanced MCU calibration and if the value doesn't come down you can try to degauss the compass (there are videos on this) and try an MCU (advanced) calibration again.  Mine also tends to run high but no issues when flying.  

Which Phantom; the older ones with the metal looking compass body are more likely to need degaussing but I was still able to degauss the one in the V2?

Every video I have seen on the assistant it is over 1000. On the subject of deqaussing, how would a tape deck head degausser work I wonder but probably put out a pretty strong field? They are made to demagnetize the heads. You just don't turn it on or off when near the compass.

These are the 2 Phantoms that I have and the calibration numbers.  You will notice the mod is about 1500 average.

If you stick your mouse pointer over the question mark it tells you all about the values and what is ok or not.
MOD for Compass RAW should be in the rage of 750 to 2250.

I did that, the "normal range is from -500~500" is a little confusing when it then said upper limits 2250. But now I know I am good at 1000
