It would be better if you try to change the radius and height

Aloha Bhujang,

Personally, POI is my favorite IOC also, but I hardly ever focus on a point of interest, I tilt the camera up and use it to PAN.  POI makes the best PANS.

After you set a good radius of 20 to 30 meters, tilt the camera up and start a rotation of less than 3 meters per second.  Adjust according to need and you will get the nicest PANs you have ever seen.

Good to see you out there!

Aloha and Drone On!

Can you do this while in motion? Or do you have to exit the flight path first?

Do you have to have the camera facing down to set the POI?

Aloha Bhujang,

You can set the radius in normal POI fashion (facing the camera down) or use the map to be sure you are facing center when you back up to set the radius.  But be sure to face the camera straight across for the PAN and remember that a radius of larger than 50 feet makes a smoother PAN.  Watch out for objects at your altitude though!  Slower orbit speeds also make smoother PANs and facing toward the center like a POI also makes a smoother PAN.

Aloha and Drone On!
