Hi Dave, I was really wondering if someone was going to update it for the Phantom 3 as a lot of the dot points are a bit out-dated now.

    Go to E-bay and look up Sun Shades , Suppliers make them for a variety of devices, I own one for my I-pad and I love it.  Consider getting a larger screen, it makes it a much more enjoyable experience in my opinion.

DJI sells sun shades on our web site also besides e-bay as Donnie said.

Sun Shades will make a big difference.

Hello - I'm about to get my first Phantom, but despite some research I'm not sure I really understand the use of "A mode" and why you would chose to fly with it?  Am I missing something obvious please?

I am a graphic designer and can see applications of using aerial photos and videos for my clients. I am new to drones.
For me, I think the Phantom3 Advanced would be a good balance of cost, image quality for my needs and maybe because of Lightbridge. This is my question: As a beginner, would the Lightbridge technology and subsequent stability of signal be a benefit for a beginner?
I'll also add that I am fairly experienced with computers but through all of the posts I read, the improper updating of firmware can cause some serious damage before ever getting the bird in the air. The confusing posts, procedures, information in varying locations are all stressing my confidence level to dive in. I realize there are many components to make flying the drone...but it seems like one weak link creates a problem...and this does not even begin to address a beginner's learning curve to get off the ground. Thanks for any advice.

The A mode is for flying in ATTI mode. It disengages the GPS hold. One of many reasons to use it would be if you just want to let your Phantom drift with the wind to get a smooth panning shot.

I would say yes you will benefit from Lightbridge and the stability that the GPS system can give you.
Try not to worry about the firmware upgrade process. It is not that hard and most guys have no trouble with it at all.
We just see all the troubles here on this web site.

Yes in the event of a disconnect it will go into automatic RTH.

I have not been here much lately. Not like I used to be. I have been doing a lot of support on RC Groups and Facebook. Plus I am only supposed to be part time but I do seem to work full time hours. Funny how that works...

Just bought an OSMO, and I cannot get through the registration process. I saw that other people were having the same issue, though I'm using an iPhone as opposed to an Android. I've tried several times trying to switch from DJI's wifi to mine, and then completing registration, but it just take me back to the previous page. Please advise or I will be taking this item back to the store for a refund.

Hi, the best thing to do would be to call support for something like this. Kind of hard to walk you through a full registration process here.

I have edited with Sony Vegas for years. I've actually posted all of drone videos unlisted to YouTube for my friends and family to enjoy! Once I get off campus ;) I will probably post my videos and photos, as flying drones on campus is technically not allowed.

Sony Vegas is one of my favorites.  I like to add a splash of After Effects to the beginning to add some flare, but always finish it up with Vegas.
