Respectfully your answer is incorrect. The antenna wires with black heat shrink plug into the outer receptacles on the back of the flight control assembly which contains the light bridge. The antenna wires with grey heat shrink plug into the two inward receptacles. The outer antenna wires transmit and receive all flight control signals while the inner antenna wires transmit and receive all video signals. The layout of the wires allow for redundant antennas (2 for each system) and also ensure that no matter how the aircraft is oriented there is always one antenna for each system facing the remote control. When the aircraft is configured as designed the left front contains a video antenna, the right front a flight control antenna, the left rear a flight control antenna, and the right rear a video antenna. As an additional note the antennas themselves are identical as both systems utilize the 2.4Ghz signal range and the wires are soldered directly to the antenna requiring anyone needing to remove the antenna during a repair a choice of unplugging from the flight control box and unthreading through half the aircraft of course re-threading during assembly or cutting and re soldering to the antenna during any replacement operations. |
