Hi Everyone,

I have a pv2+, crashed it many times, still flying though.
Now ofcourse my question is about the gimbal/camera.
The camera works, but no sound of the gimbal motor.
I can't tilt the camera, and it wont level out neither, I have no control over the tilt in the app ( see pic).
Is this a big problem? Should I get a new camera/gimbal?
If yes, is it better (cheaper) to get a gimbal for a gopro (as I have 2 of them).
If I should get the gimbal for the gopro, can anyone tell me what to buy, as I still want to see what im filming, and control the gopro.
(Monitor? etc)
i live on the beautiful island of Aruba, caribbean, but I have to order everything from the states, so I would like to order the right products in one time.as import duties are killing me, and sending back is not an option.
Or should I buy a new Phantom
Please advice and thanks a lot already.
Mike

ok,  Connect to the RC program and run through the calibrations, including the IMU advanced calibration.  Your Phantom transmitter, does it have the camera wheel at the top left?  Version 3
Also, is your picture from the camera still crooked, or straight now?

I did the advanced calibration twice now.
It doesn't have the wheel.
The picture is straight, but when I move the Phantom, it doesn't stay straight.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say you move the Phantom, it doesn't stay straight?  Does the picture go crooked again, or does the camera move a little from side to side?

Yes, the picture goes crooked again, like the gimbal doesn't work.
When I tilt the Phantom, the camera doesn't stay straight.

Did you do the repair in the video just the way it was described?  There is a pin in the back of the camera that needs to be leveled with the camera.  Right now, it is twisted a little and needs realignment with the camera and the circuit board will need to be realigned with the pin before you assemble it.

So you have no picture on your phone?  When you did the gimbal repair according to the video, did you disconnect the gimbal ribbon?  Also, on the front of the gimbal mount, you should see a small solid green light above the lens on the mount.

Hi Gerry,
I do have picture and video on my phone,.
I disconnected the gimbal ribbon, and i do have a small solid green light in front.
What I mean to say is that if I, "shake" the phantom, the camera stays to the side again,.
The gimbal should level the camera right? It looks like there is not motor running to level out the camera.
After the realignment, when I turned it back on, the camera (gimbal)didn't make a sound

Your camera will hang down at a 45 degree angle by default.  What you need to do is remove your props, power on the remote control. range extender, your phone and the Phantom.  Do everything just like you were going to fly.  One the DJI app on your phone, connect to the Phantom network with your wifi and test everything.  The green light indicates you are getting power to the camera.

I got power to the camera, but shouldn't get the gimbal power as well?
Even through the dji app I can't tilt the camera.
I have turned everything on like I am about to go fly.

On top of the mount for the gimbal right above the lens, there are  3 plugs,  make sure they are all firmly seated.  Can you see any picture from the camera on your phone?
Also, move the throttle stick to the left and right, does the camera swing a little left and right?

Hi Gerry,
the plugs are in, I still can see picture from my camera, there is a green light flickering above the sense.
If i push the little button next to the light it becomes red and stays on.

If I turn the phantom off, the camera remains in the position.
I think the gimbal is broken?

That little button right next to the green light is the manual on/off switch to start the video.  Push it again to stop the red light so it will go back to green.  On your app on the phone, are all the accessories lit or are some of them greyed and non functional?
If you move your throttle stick to the left, does your camera swing a little to the left and the same way when you move the stick to the tight?

How are you trying to move the red bar?  What do you touch to move it.  What angle is your camera hanging at now?  You don't want your camera to move like the camera in the video.

Hi gerry, in app, normally i can slide the red bar voor the camera up and down movement.
The camera is hanging in the angle is last positioned it, it doesn't move by itself.
I would like my camera to move it as in the video, at least I know then that the gimbal has power and is working.

Make sure you haven't actived the tilt function on your mobile. The icon is the gyro, it toggles.
You can use the tilt bar for up/down tilting or use the gyro in the mobile device to tilt, by just moving the mobile itself.

Yeah sorry to hear that brother, it sounds like you've got a dead gimbal.
Maybe a disassembly can clear a jam.  That'll void any warranty. Other than that, sounds like a replacement of the camera, unfortunately.  Since it's single piece unit. Ouch.
